Thank you for using my web service. My goal is to offer an easy to use and up-to-date tournament planner to as many volunteer trainers, coaches and parents as I can, because I know that you want to concentrate on sports, not on operating a program.
I first came up with this idea in 2008 as a way to overcome difficulties with existing Excel solutions. Often the macros didn’t work, different Excel forms had to be created when changing modules, not all of Excel’s features worked on a Mac, etc. With this website, the planner now operates independently of the operating system and even works on mobile phones and tablets!
Despite its extensive features, tournej is extremely easy to use. It has always been important to map the progress of a tournament as logically as possible. I myself was the coach of a Berlin youth team and I have managed numerous tournaments, including the annual Serv-It-Cup (formerly Sandocup) involving the Bundesliga youth teams. Based on this experience, and with the valuable feedback of my users, the service is being continuously improved.
With tournej, you can upgrade your event! You can simplify your planning, publish plans in advance, print them out and present the results online afterwards. Spectators, trainers, coaches and players will especially appreciate the ability to put tables and results online! This will save you time and spectators won’t have to manually calculate tables!
